


On the Review tab, under Protection, click Passwords.Open the workbook that you want to change the password for.If you lose the password, you can't open or gain access to the password-protected workbook. Caution: When you create a password for a workbook, write down the password and keep it in a secure place. To remove a password from the workbook, click Protect Workbook, and then click OK without entering a new password. To add a new password, click Protect Sheet or Protect Workbook, type and confirm the new password, and then click OK.Clicking Unprotect Sheet automatically removes the password from the sheet. Click Unprotect Sheet or Protect Workbook and enter the password.On the Review tab, click Protect Sheet or Protect Workbook.Open the workbook that you want to change or remove the password for.
